Thomas Iser

Thomas Iser is a painter, photographer, and performer whose work explores human connection and unity. Starting with graffiti, he developed a visual language blending painting, photography, and performance to express a universal sense of belonging. His ongoing project Universal Humanity gathers thousands of portraits — from celebrities to everyday people — each holding his symbolic card over one eye. This is closely linked to his Kintsugi-inspired bodypainting, where he paints himself as a cracked sculpture — every golden fracture representing a person he has photographed. Together, these fragments form something living and unique: a portrait of humanity itself, beyond borders and differences. In a divided world, Iser’s art reminds us that empathy and unity matter more than ever. #universalhumanity
